Compassion Charitable Trust, registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 (Registration No. E/3278, Date of Registration: 11/05/2001), stands as a beacon of hope for society’s most marginalized and overlooked populations. Founded in 2001 by Mr. Sudhir Salvi, a visionary deeply committed to humanitarian service, the Trust has grown into a reputable organization rooted in empathy, integrity, and social justice.
With official recognition under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, the Trust offers tax-exempt benefits to its donors, reinforcing transparency and public trust in its operations. The organization’s core mission revolves around uplifting the lives of underprivileged children, orphans, distressed women, the sick, homeless, and unemployed individuals.
Over the years, Compassion Charitable Trust has undertaken numerous initiatives—ranging from educational support and healthcare outreach to skill development programs and emergency relief services—each tailored to address the specific needs of vulnerable communities. The Trust continues to advocate for a more inclusive and compassionate society, where every individual is given the chance to live with dignity, hope, and purpose.
The Trust works across multiple domains to uplift underprivileged children, orphans, women in distress, the homeless, the jobless, and those suffering from illness or abandonment. Objective: Transforming Lives with Compassion
The core objective of this project is to uplift orphaned children (aged 4 to 16) and adolescents (aged 14 to 23) in the Pune slum community by addressing their unique and pressing needs. These vulnerable groups often face a lack of basic necessities, emotional support, and access to quality education, leaving them at risk of exploitation, abuse, and a cycle of poverty. The project aims to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where children and youth can develop holistically. This includes improving their access to education, healthcare, and nutritious food, as well as providing life skills training, mentorship, and psychosocial support to build emotional resilience. Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring protection from trafficking, child labor, substance abuse, and gender-based violence. By fostering a strong foundation through community involvement, capacity building, and sustained interventions, the project aspires to transform the lives of these individuals—enabling them to become confident, independent, and productive members of society. Ultimately, the initiative seeks not only to support immediate needs but to pave the way for long-term, sustainable change in their lives and the broader community.

Aim Aiming to Break the Cycle of Poverty, Guided by Hope, Driven by Change The aim of this project is to empower orphaned children and adolescents in the slum communities of Pune to break free from the cycle of poverty and build brighter, more sustainable futures. These young individuals face overwhelming challenges including neglect, limited access to education and healthcare, exploitation, and a lack of emotional support. Without meaningful intervention, they remain trapped in a cycle of disadvantage with little hope for upward mobility.
With donor support, this project will create impactful, long-term change by offering a multi-dimensional approach to empowerment. Through access to quality education, life skills training, mental health counseling, vocational opportunities, and consistent mentorship, we will help these children and adolescents unlock their potential. Our aim is not just to provide temporary relief, but to lay down a strong foundation for independent and dignified living.
Each donation directly contributes to initiatives such as after-school programs, nutritional support, safe spaces for emotional healing, digital literacy workshops, and job readiness programs.
